For as long as he can remember Zach has been a problem solver and a creator. Perhaps that's why he took to advertising at the ripe, young age of 16.
While most of his peers were studying algebra, he was under the covers reading how-to books on the Adobe Creative Suite so he could land an internship at a local ad shop in his hometown of Buffalo, NY. Consequently, it was his portfolio and his experience that got him into Rochester Institute of Technology, not his math scores.
While completing his bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations, and his minors in Marketing and Food & Hospitality—that means wine—Zach interned at local ad agencies in Rochester, NY. After realizing copywriting was his forté, he set his sights on the heavyweight champ Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
During his internship at CP+B he focused on interactive copywriting for Burger King and Volkswagen and helped his team earn some awards.
Enticed by interactive and the excitement of New York City, Zach sought an up-coming digital shop in the heart of Manhattan, and two months later arrived at the gold plated Film Center Building where Firstborn grew up.
Currently, Zach is still bad at math, and lives with his girlfriend in the East Village and her cat, Zucchini. Zach (not Zucchini) enjoys bombing Broadway on his bike, bungee jumping in Australia, scuba diving in Belize, playing bass trombone and watching Top Gear. He spends his days at Noise New York, working on business invention—creating ways for businesses to grow. Want to find out more? Shoot him an email: zmyrow at me.com
